JUDGMENT

A-3 in S.C.No.148 of 2001 on the file of the learned Fast Track Court No.1, Erode is the appellant.

2. Totally, there are 7 accused in this case. Out of them, A-6 and A-7 were acquitted. The remaining accused were convicted. Out of them, A-3 is the appellant before me.

3. Today, the appellant viz., A-3 was convicted and sentenced as under:

Conviction Sentence 148 I.P.C.

3 years R.I 307 I.P.C.

4. I have heard Mr.T.Shanmuga Rajeswaran, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).

5. From his arguments, now it is learnt that the appellant has served the sentence and he was released from jail. In the facts and circumstances, nothing survives in this appeal. Thus, there is no point in keeping this appeal alive. The criminal appeal has become infructuous.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal appeal is dismissed as infructuous.
