O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.07.2020, for the offences punishable under Section 4 (1)(a), 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.238 of 2020, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 35 Litres of I.D. Arrack. The same was seized by the respondent police.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and she have been falsely implicated in this case.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is a habitual offender and she has involved in 5 previous cases of similar nature, out of which, in two cases she has also been convicted. He would further submit that the petitioner was arrested on 28.07.2020 and investigation is pending. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and has involved in five previous cases and she has also been convicted in two cases and also considering the fact that the arrest of the petitioner is very recent, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6.This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
