PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the 2nd respondent police herein to issue Non Tracable certificate in respect of the Documents viz., Original Settlement deed dated 27.09.1957 as documents No.1933/1957 on the file of Sub Registrar Office, Avinashi within the time period fixed by this Court.

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent police herein to issue Non Tracable certificate in respect of the Documents viz., Original Settlement deed dated 27.09.1957 as document No.1933/1957 on the file of Sub Registrar Office, Avinashi within the time period fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had lost his original sale deed dated 27.09.1957 in Document No.1933/1957 on the file of Sub Registrar Office, Avinashi. Hence, he have a representation dated 08.10.2022 before the respondent police.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the Director General of Police issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022 with regard to the procedure to be followed for the issuance of Non Traceable Certificate. He further submitted that, on the basis of the representation of the petitioner, CSR.No.280 of 2023 is pending. If petitioner produces all the relevant documents, following the instructions given in the Circular 2/4

Memorandum, necessary action would be taken.

4. Recording the same, this Court directs the petitioner to give fresh representation based on the instructions given in the Circular Memorandum Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022. On receiving such representation, the respondent Police is directed to dispose of the representation within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
