PRAYER in all Petitions: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order in the nature of a writ directing the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.11.2022 and to provide basic amenity at the earliest.

2. The above Writ Petitions have been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2022 seeking grant of electricity service connection.

3. Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for respondents.

4. The petitioners states that they have given a representation dated 24.11.2022 to the 2nd respondent seeking electricity connection to their residence. However, the respondents have not taken any steps to provide electricity service connection. Hence, the above Writ Petitions have been filed.

5. Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation made on 24.11.2022 seeking to provide electricity service connection within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

6. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioners' representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law.

In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.11.2022 seeking electricity service connection to their residences and pass appropriate orders on merits after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as to the aggrieved persons if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
