Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to cause immediate necessary action on the application dated 12.02.2024 for issue of sub-division patta pertaining to lands comprised in S.Nos.286/1 and 403/4 of Mangalam Village and issue sub-division patta in favour of the petitioner and his brother.

By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 12.02.2024 and to sub-divide the property comprised in Survey Nos.286/1 and 403/4, situated at Mangalam Village, Elagiri Hills, Tiruppattur Taluk, Vellore District and to issue sub-division patta in favour of the petitioner and his brother. 3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioner is that the subject properties have been settled in favour of the petitioner and his brother by his father vide Settlement Deeds dated 19.09.2019 respectively. Therefore, the petitioner and his brother had applied to the respondent for issuance of sub-division patta in their names and also paid necessary charges for issuance of patta. But the same has not been considered by the respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that if a fresh representation is given by the petitioner, the same will be considered by the respondent. 6.
In such view of the matter, the petitioner shall give a fresh representation to the respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such representation being given, the respondent shall consider and pass appropriate orders on the same for issuance of sub-division patta in the name of the petitioner within a period of two months thereafter.
