Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to extend the time for 30 days to receive the 45% of the remaining bid amount of sum of Rs.1,79,99,000/- (Rupees One crore seventy nine laks ninety nine thousand only).

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.Kavitha Rameshwar, learned counsel for Mr.V.Karnan, learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would approach the respondent bank for extension of time under Rule 9(4) of the Security Interest (Enforcement) Rules, 2002.

3. It is for the petitioner to approach the bank. Whether to grant extension of time is the discretion of the bank under Rule 9(4) of the Rules.

4. In view of the above, no further directions are issued as the petitioner is inclined to approach the bank for the said purpose. The writ petition is disposed of.
