Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein to allow the petitioner to open the prasatham stall at A/m Vadapalani Andavar Temple, Vadapalani, Chennai 26, for the balance of period of licence, viz., 103 days. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard Mr.V.Raghavachari, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.S.Girish, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent.

3. The petitioner was running a Prasadam stall in the third respondent temple. Alleging that he did not adhere to certain prescribed standards, the stall was closed. The petitioner has given a representation dated 27.03.2022. The present Executive Officer, who is in the rank of Deputy Commissioner is directed to enquire into the said representation and after hearing the petitioner, pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the enquiry reveals that the petitioner is not at fault, the petitioner shall be allowed to run the Prasadam stall.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
