Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to conduct the Brahmotsavam in the Tamil month of Ani commencing from 03.06.2022 till 16.06.2022 and directing the respondents to give equal opportunity to the earlier Ubhayadarars in conducting the daily ceremonies. The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to conduct Brahmotsavam in the Tamil month of Ani commencing from 03.06.2022 till 16.06.2022 and to direct the respondents to give an equal opportunity to the
earlier Ubhayadarars in conducting the daily ceremonies in Arulmigu Parasuramalingeshwarar Temple.

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that an application was submitted on 10.03.2022 and, in response, the 4th respondent/ Executive Officer of Arulmigu Parasuramalingeshwarar Temple has passed an order on 11.03.2022 stating that the temple administration itself will conduct the Brahmotsavam in the said temple by following the procedures. He further submitted that the temple being under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, the Brahmotsavam is to be conducted through the competent authorities by following the procedures.
3. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the earlier Ubhayadarars are not permitted to perform poojas and, therefore, the petitioner has constrained to file the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the HR&CE Department, during the course of hearing, has produced a copy of the notice issued by the temple administration dated 02.05.2022 stating that the temple administration has already taken a decision to conduct the Brahmotsavam from 03.07.2022 to 15.07.2022 and the temple administration will follow the procedures to conduct the Brahmotsavam by providing equal opportunity to all parties in the manner prescribed.
5. It is needless to say that equal opportunity contemplated is to be adhered to while conducting the Brahmotsavam in Arulmigu Parasuramalingeshwarar Temple, Ayanavaram, Chennai-23. This being the factum established, no further direction is required in this matter, as the respondent themselves notified that the Brahmotsavam will be conducted from 03.07.2022 to 15.07.2022 in the subject-temple.
