O R D E R

The Refusal Check Slip issued by the respondent on 12.04.2023, is sought to be quashed in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner presented a Gift Settlement Deed for registration before the Sub Registrar, Sathyamangalam and the said document was returned on the ground that the petitioner has not submitted the individual patta and the joint patta issued by the Village Administration Officer, cannot be considered for the purpose of registering the Settlement Deed.

3. In this regard, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Revenue Authorities for grant of individual patta by establishing his rights. In the event of producing the individual patta, the Sub Registrar shall reconsider the registration of the Gift Settlement Deed by following the procedures as contemplated.
