The present miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 44 days in filing Criminal Appeal as against the conviction and sentence imposed by the learned Sessions Judge Special Court (POSCO) at Chengalpattu in Special Sessions Case No.156 of 2019 by judgment dated 15.12.2023.

Mrs.G.V.Kasthuri, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police has no objection for this petition being allowed.

3. Having satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition stands allowed.

4. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and list the same for admission.
