This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to register a case against the petitioner's complaint dated 26.05.2014.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. On a reading of the complaint dated 13.01.2014, it is seen that the petitioner's father had died way back in the year 1969 and that the relatives of the petitioner had dealt with the property.

4. Since the dispute is essentially civil in nature, no positive direction can be issued to the Police to register an F.I.R., Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
