ORDER
(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.07.2020, for the offences punishable under Section 392 IPC, in Crime No.134 of 2020, seeks bail.
2.The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that while she was going along with her husband in a two wheeler, the petitioner along with other accused had snatched her THALI CHAIN and escaped.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been implicated in this case based on the confession of the co-accused.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is a habitual offender. On 21.03.2020, the petitioner along with other accused snatched the THALI CHAIN of the defacto complainant. The petitioner based on the confession of the coaccused has been arrested in this case on 28.07.2020. He would further submit that they have recovered four sovereigns of gold jewels from the petitioner. He would further submit that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner has three previous cases of similar nature, two cases have been registered by the Nemili Police Station and one case is registered by the Sholingur police Station.
5.Taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and has involved in a offence of chain snatching and has three previous cases to his credit, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
