.. Respondents in all WPs W.P.No.31199 of 2016 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from in any way conducting or taking steps to conduct elections to the Town Panchayats,
Municipalities and Corporations within the State of Tamil Nadu for post of Chairpersons/Mayor/Chairman for the year 2016 or subsequently without providing for representative members under Art 243C(3) and Art 243R(2)(a) and reservations as mandated under Articles 243D(4) and Article 243T(4)&(6) of the Constitution of India and by adopting direct elections as contemplated in the Part IX A of the Constitution of India in so far as the Chairpersons of Municipalities and Municipal Corporations are concerned.
W.P.No.31200 of 2016 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Declaration declaring that the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Laws, 2016 Act 8 of 2016 as ultra vires of the Constitution. W.P.No.31201 of 2016 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Declaration declaring that Sections 5, 10, 15 and 29 of the Tamil Nadu Act 15 of 2011 as ultra vires of Constitution.
