The status report has been filed by the 2nd respondent/the Inspector of Police, B-8, Pulrampakkam police station, Thiruvallur District that an FIR in crime No.215 of 2016 under Section 279 and 337 of IPC has been registered. It is stated that the investigation is pending.

2. It is stated that MV report has been received and the wound certificate is yet to be received.

3. In view of the above, the Inspector of Police, B-8, Pulrampakkam police station, Thiruvallur District is directed to complete the investigation on or before 31.01.2020. He must be aware that he has kept the investigation pending more than three years. Any further delay will not be accepted by this Court. Independently, the petitioner may also give afresh representation for his passport and the 1st respondent may consider it in accordance with law.

4. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
