ORDER

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to enlarge the petitioners on anticipatory bail in the event of their arrest by the respondent police.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners. However, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that this is the second application for anticipatory bail filed by the petitioners and that there has been no change in circumstances since the dismissal of the earlier petition.

3. On a perusal of the records, it is observed that the petitioners had previously moved an application for anticipatory bail in Crl.O.P. No. 6670 of 2026, which was considered on merits and dismissed by this Court on 16.03.2026.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that the present petition has been filed within a very short span of time from the date of dismissal of the first application, this Court finds no fresh grounds or change in circumstances to entertain this second petition. It is a settled position of law that a successive bail application is maintainable only if there is a substantial change in the fact situation or a shift in the legal position, neither of which is present in the instant case.

5. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought by the petitioners.

6.
