Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry) appearing for the first respondent.

2. Though notice was served on the second respondent, he has not chosen to appear in person, even though his name is printed in the cause list.

3. The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the first respondent to consider his representation dated 08.05.2017, for effecting name change for the vehicle bearing Registration No.PY 01 M- 1762 in the Registration Certificate. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. It is claimed by the petitioner that he had purchased the vehicle from the second respondent and thereafter, applied for name change before the first respondent in the Registration Certificate.

5. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said request made by the petitioner on 08.05.2017, has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2017 and pass orders on the same, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
