Mr.K.S.Jeyaganesh, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on his representations dated 23.01.2019 and 18.03.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought for allotment of space in Island Ground to conduct private exhibition for the period from 01.05.2019 to 09.06.2019.
3. It is claimed by the petitioner that every year, the said space is being let out for conducting such summer events and therefore, for this year also, the same may be let out by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
considering the petitioner's representations.
4. On the other hand, it is contended by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent that a notification will be issued for inviting tenders to let out the space for conducting such event and therefore, the petitioner has to approach the respondent by way of submitting tender, once such notification is issued. Therefore, it is contended that the petitioner's request by way of representations cannot be considered at present.
5. The said statement made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent is recorded and the writ petition is disposed of, by granting liberty to the petitioner to participate in the tender process once such notification is issued, as stated supra. No costs.
