Respondent(s) PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed seeking under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking Writ of Certiorari Mandamus to call for the records from the 2nd respondent pertaining to the impugned suspension order no. 4891/ Po.3/ 2016 dated 26.08.2016 and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to allow the petitioner to continue his service. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the impunged suspension order No.4891/P.3/2016 dated 26.08.2016 and to direct the second respondent to allow the petitioner to continue his service.

2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the respondents has produced a copy of the Lr.No.4891/G3/2016, dated 12.11.2025 addressed by the Superintendent of Prison, Central Prison-II, Chennai to the Government Pleader, High Court of Madras, Chennai and submitted that the suspension of the petitioner has been revoked on 04.07.2017 and the petitioner is now transferred to Central Prison. Para Nos.4 and 5 of the aforesaid letter reads as follows: "4. Therefore, Tr.Prasath, Grade II Warder, was revoked from Suspension on 04.07.2017 F.N and reinstated to duty vide No.4891//G3/2016, dated 03.07.2017 of the Superintendent of Prisons, Central Prison-II, Chennai.

5. Consequently, the petitioner was transferred from Central Prison-II, Chennai to Chengalpattu District Jail vide orders of the Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Chennai Range, Chennai dated 04.07.2017 and working as Grade II Warder, Sub Jail, Aranthangi till date."

4. Since, the prayer sought by the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is for quashing the impugned suspension order No.4891/Po.3/2016 dated 26.08.2016 and the petitioner was already been reinstated into service, the cause in the present Writ Petition does not survive.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. K.SURENDER, J.
