Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to allot any other suitable place for fruit vending in Chennai so as to accommodate all the remaining licensed fruit vendors until Covid-19 situation subsides or in the alternative direct the respondents to introduce allotment of fruit shops in Madhavaram Bus Depot on rotation basis so as to provide opportunity to all licensed vendors in fruit vending business. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Ms.R.J.Radhika, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents 1 and 4. Mr.P.S.Ganesh, learned Standing Counsel for CMDA takes notice for the 2nd respondent.

Mr.R.Gopinath, learned Standing Counsel for Corporation takes notice for the 3rd respondent.

2.Though a larger prayer has been sought for, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it is suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 01.07.2020 is directed to be considered by the 4th respondent.

3.Considering the above submission, we direct the 4th respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 01.07.2020 and dispose of the same within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
