O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 294 (b), 323, 397, 336, 427 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.670 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 13.11.2019, at about 5.00 p.m., the petitioner along with other accused persons robbed cell phones and a sum of Rs.750/- from the defacto complainant by showing knife.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Proseuctor submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are 14 previous cases pending against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Taking into account the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and has 14 previous cases to his credit, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 6.This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
