ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 395, 397 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.150 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 21.04.2021, at about 5.30 p.m., the petitioner robbed cell phone and a sum of Rs.640/- from the defacto complainant by showing knife. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Proseuctor submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are eight previous cases pending against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into account the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and has eight previous cases to his credit, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
