Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to produce the details of marks secured by the candidates selected as per the minutes of the meeting of the Staff [Teaching] Selection Committee of the second respondent dated 27.05.1996 in relation to the posts of Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department in the Polytechnics under the second respondent and declare the list of seniority as per the marks secured by the respective candidates and not as per roster points.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the Writ Petition and also made an endorsement to that effect. He has also produced a letter requesting to withdraw the Writ Petition before this Court. 2.In view of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
