PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 13.06.2014 and 15.03.2021 by measuring and demarcating the petitioner's land in Survey No.324/1 an extent of 912 sq.ft. in Pazhaiya Colony, Perani Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram to issue a Patta in the name of petitioner.

O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondents to dispose the petitioner's application dated 13.06.2014 and 15.03.2021 by measuring the petitioner's land in Survey No.324/1, an extent of 912 sq.ft. situated at Pazhaiya Colony, Perani Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram, and to issue a patta in the name of petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The petitioner is said to be a poor agricultural labour. The grievance of the petitioner is that, he is in possession and enjoyment of land in Survey No.324/1 for a long time. Subsequently, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking for a patta on 15.03.2021, but, so far, his representation was not considered and no order has been passed on it. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent Tahsildar is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
