Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.571 of 2010 on the file of Inspector of Police, R-9, Valasaravakkam Police Station, Chennai and submit final report before the competent court of jurisdiction and take appropriate action against the said accused in accordance with law.

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.571 of 2010.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Today, the respondent police have filed Status Report, wherein, in paragraph Nos.7 and 8, it is stated as follows: "7. It is submitted that the Sub Inspector of Police obtained report of Viscera on 30.11.2010 and in that the doctor opined that the deceased would appear to have died due to Cervico Spinal injuries sustained and no poison was detected.

8. It is submitted that based on the witnesses statement and based on the Doctor final opinion the Sub Inspector of Police referred the above case as Further Action Dropped on 30.11.2010 and sent the same to the Tahsildar, Ambathur on 30.11.2010." https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the above, nothing survives in this petition and this petition is closed.
