ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed praying to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioners by the District Judge, Mayiladuthurai in Crl.A.No.17 of 2023 dated 16.10.2024 confirming the order of Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Mayiladuthurai in CC.No.116 of 2022 dated 31.08.2023 pending disposal of the above criminal revision petition.

The petitioners are the accused in CC.No.116 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Mayiladuthurai. They were found guilty of the offences under Sections 294(b), 354 & 355 of IPC and they have been convicted and sentenced as under: S.No.

Conviction Sentence Section 294(b) of IPC Each to pay fine of Rs.500/-, in default to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one week Section 354 of IPC Each to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one year and to pay fine of Rs.1,000/-, in default to undergo simple 2/4

Conviction Sentence imprisonment for a period of one month Section 355 of IPC Each to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners preferred appeal before learned District Judge, Mayiladuthurai in Crl.A.No.17 of 2023, wherein the judgment of the trial court was confirmed, against which the aforesaid criminal revision has been filed.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused, all the materials placed before this Court. 4.

On perusal of records, this Court finds no reasons to suspend the sentence. Further, the Trial Court has gone through the evidence in its entirety and convicted the petitioners.

In the result, this petition for suspension of sentence is dismissed.
