Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the order passed by the Commissioner, Chennai Corporation, the first respondent herein, dated 05.05.2016, quash the same and direct the respondents herein to open the premises and permit the petitioner to run the restaurant.

Heard Mr.K.Rajkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Saravanan, learned Standing counsel for the respondents. 2.This writ petition has been filed challenging the rejection order dated 05.05.2016, passed by the first respondent on the application of the petitioner, for issuance of trade licence.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned standing counsel for the respondents submitted that the petitioner restaurant was already closed and the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

4. In the light of the above submissions, this writ petition is dismissed having become infructuous. No costs.
