ORDER
It is brought to the notice of this Court that the proper person to represent the department of Higher Education is the Principal Secretary to Higher Education department. Therefore, this Court deem it appropriate to suo motu amend the cause title of the first respondent as the Principal Secretary in the place of Chief Secretary. Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendments in the cause title.
By this writ petition, the petitioners seeks mandamus to direct the respondents to consider his representation dated 21.12.2024. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Office Assistant in Annamalai University on 07.11.2005. Due to take over of Annamalai University by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the petitioner was identified as surplus and ordered to be transferred to Karaikudi Alagappa Chettiar Engineering College on 16.05.2017. Due to his health ailment, he seeks transfer within Cuddalore District. Since the said representation was kept pending, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Heard Mr.R.Sethuvarayar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Jaya Prakash, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3.

Since the petitioner has come up with the restricted prayer to consider his representation, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the abovesaid representation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on its own merits and in accordance with law.
