ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, Kanchipuram District, to complete the trial proceedings in DVC 17 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner initiated a case under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 on 12.06.2018 against her husband which is pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur. The petitioner is having a minor son on her custody. The learned Trial court Judge posted the case before the Lok Adalat for amicable settlement. Now the case is pending before the Lok Adalat. The respondent has not filed his counter yet. It took over 150 days just to number the case and it has been over 180 days after the case has been numbered and the respondent not yet filed the counter and the matter is pending in the Lok Adalat Stage. Hence, prays for appropriate relief.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, Kanchipuram District to complete the trial proceedings in DVC 17 of 2018 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.This Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
