Mr.C.Emalias, Additional Public Prosecutor COMMON ORDER Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent/Police.

It is seen that the petitioners are involved in seven cases of chain snatching in various Police Station limits. The trial Court granted bail to the petitioners on the following conditions: "(a) The petitioners shall execute a bond with two sureties alike a sum of Rs.25,000/- each and out of which one must be blood relative of the respective petitioner/accused.

(b) The petitioners shall appear before the Chidambaram Town P.S. daily at 10.00 a.m. for a period of 20 days from the date of their respective release."
These petitions have been filed to modify the aforesaid conditions. 3.
This Court gave its anxious consideration to the facts obtaining in these cases. The petitioners hail from Uttar Pradesh and they have involved in seven cases of chain snatching in various Police Station limits in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, the aforesaid conditions imposed for granting bail, cannot be said to be onerous in the facts and circumstances of the cases.

These petitions are devoid of merits and consequently, both the petitions are dismissed.
