ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner in the Crime No. unknown of 2021 based on the foisted complaint lodged by the defacto complainant on the file of the respondent Police Station, without adhering to the mandatory provisions of law.

2. The petitioner is none other than the brother-inlaw of the defacto complainant viz., Kowsalya. The said Kowsalya was married to the petitioner's brother N.Vijay and he passed away five years back. There was no dispute, till the petitioner got married. The complaint is that the said Kowsalya had purchased some gold jewels and property in the name of the petitioner and now she seeks to return of the same. The petitioner had earlier given an undertaking on 24.01.2021 to the effect that he would return the property and settle the dispute amicably. Thereafter, he failed to do so. Hence, on 17.06.2021, again she lodged a complaint, and the petitioner was called for enquiry. Now the petitioner states https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that as regards the family property at Andra Pradesh, it takes some time for settling the dispute. But he stands to comply the undertaking given on 24.01.2021.

3. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to comply with the undertaking given by him on 24.01.2021 as early as possible.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
