The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner for the post of Night Watchman in the office of respondent at Guindy, pursuant to his application dated 18.01.2019 as seen in the interview letter dated 15.02.2019 scheduled on 27.02.2019.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner applied for the post of Night Watchman in the office of respondent at Guindy and vide interview letter dated 15.02.2019, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner was asked to appear for the interview on 27.02.2019. Though the interview was conducted on 27.02.2019, the results of the same has not been declared. Since the petitioner is nearing the sealing age limit, he has come forward with this writ petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dt. 18.1.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
