Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for records of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.11293/2020/F1 dated 28.01.2026, quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents 1 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2026 for grant of Patta in petitioner's favour in respect of the property situated at No.6, Gokulam Street, Chinna Kancheepuram.

Notice dated 28.01.2026 issued by the Commissioner, Kanchipuram Corporation, for removal of encroachment is under challenge in the present writ petitions.

2. The Corporation authorities, during the course of inspection, identified encroachers while implementing the road expansion. The encroachment is identified pursuant to orders of this Court dated 25.06.2025 in W.P.No.27259 of 2021. Since the authorities conducted survey and identified encroachments in the public road, notice came to be issued.

3. In view of the said factum, the petitioners are at liberty to submit their explanations along with the documents, if any, to the competent authority to defend their case. On receipt of such representation, the Commissioner, Kanchipuram Corporation, shall consider the same and thereafter, shall take a final decision and proceed further with the eviction of encroachment, if any

identified, by following the procedure as contemplated under relevant Statute and Rules in force.
