ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to give police protection and permission to celebrate the Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival from 13.09.2018 to 17.09.2018 in a grand manner by erecting statue of Vinayagar in Mel Pattalamman Koil at A.Mallapuram Village and taking the statue by procession in usual routes and provide police protection and to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2018.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the general public of A.Mallapuram Village have decided to celebrate the Vinayakar Chathurthi festival from 13.09.2018 to 17.09.2018 and hence a representation was submitted to the respondent on 01.09.2018 seeking permission and also police protection, but so far no order has been passed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that since there is a possibility for law and order problem, no order has been passed on the petitioner's representation. 4.In view of the limited prayer sought for in the present petition and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in his representation dated 01.09.2018, there shall be a direction to the respondent/Inspector of Police, Marndahalli Police Station, Marandahalli, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2018 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders on or before 13.09.2018.

5.With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
