The petitioner is an employee of the second respondent company, which is a Public Sector Undertaking. According to him, he gave applications dated 26.03.2014 and 23.10.2014 seeking permission to retire under Voluntary Retirement Scheme. Since no orders have been passed by the second respondent, he came forward to file this writ petition.

2. During the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner has made a limited prayer for issuance of a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner in the light of the circular issued by the second respondent.

In view of the narrow prayer made, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 26.03.2014 and 23.10.2014 in the light of its circular dated 21.03.2014, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
