Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue a family card to the petitioner in the place of the lost family card No.09/G/0250126 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2015.

ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims that the 2nd respondent has issued a Family Card bearing No.09/G/0250126 and on 04.06.2011, he lost the family card and reported the same to the jurisdictional ration shop and also got a non-traceable certificate from the Sub-Inspector of Police, District Crime Records Bureau, Dharmapuri. The petitioner, thereafter, vide representation dated 11.07.2015 prayed for issuance of a duplicate family card in lieu of the family card/ration card lost by him and since he has not been favoured with any response, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner who submit that the petitioner is eking his livelihood as an agricultural coolie and fully depend on the rice and other essential commodities given to him on subsidised rates and in the absence of the family card, he may not be able to avail the free benefits given to the persons belonging to the below-poverty line and hence, prays for appropriate orders. 4.This Court heard the submissions of Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.
5.This Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within period of six weeks thereafter and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
