Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioner representation dated 11.06.2013 submitted with a request to cancel the patta in S.No.34/3 an extent of acre 01.18 cents situated at Panchambakkam Madura Pasavanatham village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, within a reasonable time frame to be fixed by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioners claim to have purchased lands comprised in S.No.34/3 admeasuring to an extent of 01 acre 18 cents, viz., the 1st petitioner purchased 0.35 cents vide Document No.2486/2009, the 2nd petitioner purchased 0.13 cents vide Document No.2489/2009 ; 3rd petitioner purchased 0.35 cents vide Document No.2487/2009 and the 4th petitioner purchased 0.35 cents vide Document N.2488/2009, situated at Pachambakkam Madura Pasavanatham village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and after the said purchase, the petitioners have applied for transfer of patta to the 1st respondent, who has forwarded the same to the 4th respondent for appropriate action. Thereafter, no response is forthcoming and hence, the petitioners came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Dig Vijay Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.
4.This Court, in view of the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioners, directs the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2013 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the respondents 5 to 7 and pass orders within period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 5 to 7.
5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
