Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to sanction the pension and other benefits as extended in G.O.No.23, Environment and Forests Department, dated 06.02.2007, and consequently direct to pay the arrears of pension with effect from 01.10.2008 to the petitioner.

According to the petitioner, he was formerly an employee of Forest Department and thereafter absorbed in Tamil Nadu Tea Plantation Corporation Limited (TANTEA). He rendered more than ten years of service in Forest Department. The case of the petitioner is that the similarly placed persons like him, namely, S.R.Subbiah and S.George, have been given pension for their service in the Forest Department. The Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.23, Environment and Forests Department, dated 06.02.2007, was passed, granting pension to the said Subbiah.
2. Under these circumstances, the petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 23.06.2014, to respondents 2 and 3 to grant him pension for the service rendered in the Forest Department. Now, he has filed this Writ Petition, seeking for pension, as was given to others, as stated above.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to submit a fresh representation, enclosing a copy of this order, to respondents 1 and 2, who, on receipt of such representation, are directed to dispose of the said representation, requesting for pension for the service rendered in the Forest Department, in the light of the facts stated above, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the representation.
