Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 11.12.2014 filed by the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner would state that the temple which owns larger extent of lands including the land in S.No.386 admeasuring an extent of 58 cents in Korattur village among other properties and it is classified as "Koothadi Maniyam" / Inam lands and the same is reflected in the revenue records. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that various persons have applied to the 2nd respondent for grant of patta and without conducting any proper enquiry, pattas have been granted in favour of the 3rd parties by the 2nd respondent. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 04.06.2015, praying for conducting proper enquiry and issuance of patta in respect of the lands belonging to the temple. response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2015 after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
