Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to apply the provisions of Act 40 of 2010 (Persons studied in Tamil Medium Act, 2010) to the petitioners as per the reservation policy of the State Government and if the petitioners are eligible for reservation against 20% quota for PSTM category to include their names in the 6% of the appeared candidates for the subjects Mathematics and Commerce in State Eligibility Test (SET), 2024 conducted by the 3rd respondent for being eligible to write the examination for the post of Assistant Professor in the subjects Mathematics and Commerce.

ORDER
When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners sought permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition. A letter dated 19.09.2025 to that effect has also been circulated to the Registry of this Court. An Endorsement to the said effect was also made by the learned counsel for the petitioners in the Petition today.
2. In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn and accordingly, the restraint order granted by this Court on 16.04.2025 stands vacated. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
