ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2026 and 26.02.2026 to survey the petitioner's property No.212, Madha Kovil Street, Padiri PO, Vandavasi, Thiruvannamalai District, Punjai land Survey No. 521/1 measuring 0.53.0 Ares (1.32 Acres) consisting Patta No. 3462 by metes and bounds and the 4th respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and the Revenue Officials during the conduct of the land survey and demarcation of boundaries as per law.

According to the petitioner, when the Surveyor already made an attempt to survey the property, the neighbour of the petitioner made objections along with villagers therefore, the Surveyor was unable to measure the property. Under these circumstances, for a direction to survey the property with police protection, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

The learned Government Counsel appearing for the Official respondents would submit that they are aware of the type of objections made by the neighbour of the petitioner as well as the villagers and in the event, if any direction is issued for police protection to measure the property, the same will be complied with.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the Official respondents.

5. In the present case, according to the petitioner, the 3rd respondent made an attempt to survey the subject properties based on the petitioner's representation. However, since there was an objection on the part of the petitioner's neighbour and villagers, he was not in a position to survey the property.

6. Such being the case, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the survey with the help of Police protection. In the event if any assistance is sought for by the Officials, the concerned jurisdictional Police is directed to provide Police protection to survey and demarcating the properties by laying survey stones. It is made clear that this direction is issued to the official respondent only to survey & demarcate the property, in case there is any dispute arising in respect of possession of subject property, the same shall be decided by

filing a suit before the competent civil Court. The 3rd respondent is directed to complete the survey within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
