ORDER

The petitioners have come forward with this petition seeking a direction directing the second respondent not to harass the petitioners based on the complaint given by Padmavathi,W/o.Sekar, in the civil matter already closed by Inspector of Police, Land Grabbing Cell, Kanchipuram. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. It is seen that on a complaint given by one Padmavathi, petition enquiry is pending before the second respondent. Hence, no blanket order of not to harass the petitioner can be passed. The petitioners are directed to cooperate for the enquiry. During the course of enquiry, they should not be harassed. If any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest.

4. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed.
