Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to permit the petitioner college to fill up the 12 Assistant professors as per the roster fixed by the petitioner college i.e roster serial number 53 to 64 and pass orders.

This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to permit the petitioner college to fill up the 12 Assistant professors as per the roster fixed by the petitioner's college i.e roster serial numbers 53 to 64 and pass orders.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a aided college and the first respondent has given permission to fill up the post of Assistant Professor in various departments of the college. In pursuance of the said permission, the college conducted the recruitment process as per the University Grants Commission norms and nine candidates were selected and appointed as Assistant Professors. However, one Sangeetha who was appointed under the scheduled tribe category, has not joined. Subsequently, eleven vacancies have arisen and the 2/6
petitioner was granted permission to go for a recruitment. Before completing the recruitment process, the petitioner wants to have a clarification in respect of the letter of the second respondent dated 06.12.2023 and in this connection, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the first respondent on 14.08.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner has also submitted representations on 26.10.2023 and 10.02.2025 to the first and second respondents to permit the petitioner to proceed with the recruitment process as per the revised roster. However, such representations are pending with the respondents.
3. The learned Government Advocate would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representations within a reasonable time.
4. At this juncture the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, since the students are suffering for want of faculty, the respondents may be directed to dispose of the petitioner's representations within a shortest possible time.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
6.In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, without going into merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
