The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents, more particularly, the 2nd respondent to consider his representation dated 23.08.2016 and pass orders for change of patta to his name in respect of the land in Survey Number 234 with an extent of 48.5 ares (1 Acre 20 Cents) in Kallipattu Revenue Village, Sankarapuram Vattam, Villupuram District, within a stipulated time. 2.

According to the petitioner, his father, out of love https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and affection gifted the land in Survey No.234 with an extent of 48.5 ares (1 Acre 20 cents) in Kallipattu Revenue Village, Sankarapuram Vattam, Villupuram District, to him by way of a registered Settlement Deed, dated 13.08.2015 vide Doc.No.3582 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Sankarapuram and from then onwards, he is in possession of the said land as an absolute owner.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he made a representation to the respondents on 23.08.2016 seeking transfer of patta in respect of the said land to his name, based on the Settlement Deed executed by his father, and the same was acknowledged by the respondents on 26.08.2016. Since no reply is forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2016 seeking transfer of patta, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
