ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 6 (4) of the TN Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order 1982, Section 7 (1) (a) (ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Crime No.108 of 2022, on the file of respondent police seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were in illegal possession of 30,000 kgs of PDS Rice without any permission or license.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for respondent would submit that earlier, the first anticipatory bail petition filed before this Court was dismissed as withdrawn and this is the second anticipatory bail petition before this court. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Considering the huge quantity of essential commodities seized and also considering the fact that there is no change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant Anticipatory Bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
