ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is to consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.02.2025 and further direct the respondent to allot a rental flat under the Tamil Nadu Government Servant Rental Housing scheme under G.O. Ms. 749 dated 10.09.1984.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, it can be seen that the petitioner is a government servant. He is also differently abled. Therefore, he has made an application to consider his case within the 1% quota that is earmarked for differently abled persons for allotment of rental flats.

3. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:- (i) The respondents shall consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.02.2025 and pass orders thereon in accordance with law. (ii) The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
