ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to issue patta in the name of the legal heirs of the late Sophie Govias for the correct extent of 2990 sq.ft. in respect of Plot No.15, comprised in Survey No.11/1A1, situated at Palavakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District, based on the petitioner's representation.

2. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he had given a representation to the respondents seeking issuance of patta in the name of the legal heirs of the late Sophie Govias for the correct extent of 2990 sq.ft. and based on the said representation, the 2nd respondent by his proceedings, dated Page No.2 of 6

01.08.2024 has also recommended the case of the petitioner to the 1st respondent. According to the petitioner, the 1st respondent has not passed final orders, despite the proceedings of the 2nd respondent, dated 01.08.2024.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to dispose of the pettioner's representations seeking issuance of patta in the name of the legal heirs of the late Sophie Govias for the correct extent of 2990 sq.ft. on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 01.08.2024, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representations, dated 12.06.2024 and 25.02.2025 seeking issuance of patta in the name of the legal heirs of the late Sophie Govias for the correct extent of 2990 sq.ft. in respect of Plot No.15, comprised in Survey No.11/1A1, situated at Palavakkam Page No.3 of 6

Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District, after giving due consideration to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent, dated 01.08.2024, and after hearing the objections of all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
