Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 22.07.2015 made to the respondent, to grant permission in order to conduct the cultural program Ayyanar drama stories and Mahabharada drama stories to give protection for the said program which is schedule to be conducted on 27.07.2015 and 28.07.2015 at front of the Kangaiyamman Kovil Temple, Thiruvarangam Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims to be the member of the Temple Festival Committee of Kangaiyamman Temple, situated at Thiruvarangam Village, and he submitted a representation/application dated 22.07.2015 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 27.07.2015 and 28.07.2015, in connection with the festival of the said temple, which includes song and dance programme and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.M.Dig Vijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.
5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application/representation dated 22.07.2015, in accordance with law and pass orders by 26.07.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
