ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondent, notice to the private respondent is dispensed with.
2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the 1st Respondent to consider the representation dated 01.01.2026 made by the
petitioner seeking to make changes in the Birth Certificate, dated 14.06.2024 bearing Registration No.B-2024. 33-7702-001312.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner and her wife had adopted a male child on 29.06.2024 vide adoption deed dated 06.09.2024 registered as Doc.No.59 of 2024 on the file of SRO, Omalur with P.Neelavanan and Anbumani. Thereafter, the petitioner has given representation to the first respondent on 01.01.2026 seeking for necessary changes in their son's birth certificate, which is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials placed on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
