ORDER

This Court, vide order dated 24.06.2022, has directed the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate and Special Judge under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Ariyalur, to dispose of Spl.Case.No.2 of 2016 within a period of six months

from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and disposed of the above said writ petition.

2. This being so, after a lapse of more than two years, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ariyalur, has written a letter to the Registrar General of this Court vide D.No.2808/2024 dated 29.11.2024, seeking extension of time in order to comply with the order passed by this Court dated 24.06.2022, which is not appreciated by this Court. However, considering the reasons stated in the letter, this Court is inclined to grant two months extension to dispose of Special Case No.2 of 2016, as directed by this Court order dated 24.06.2022.

3. Registry is directed to send a copy of the order to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ariyalur.
