ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's applications under Section 3G(5) of National Highways Act, 1956 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner's land has been acquired under the National Highways Act, 1956. An arbitration has been initiated by the first respondent under Section 3G(5) of National Highways Act, 1956. The petitioner seeks for early disposal of the said applications by the first respondent.
3. Mrs.S.Indhubala, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's applications, dated 23.04.2004 and 22.01.2008 filed under Section 3G(5) of National 2/4
Highways Act, 1956 on merits and in accordance with law within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Accordingly, this Court directs the first respondent to pass an award as per the provisions of Section 3G(5) of National Highways Act, 1956 on the petitioner's applications, dated 23.04.2004 and 22.01.2008 by adhering to the principles of natural justice within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
